Biography:
Bonnie Lepold grew up in New Jersey. She attended Johns Hopkins University, where she played on the varsity basketball team (point guard). She graduated with a B.A. in 1994, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. She then went to law school at Washington University in St. Louis, from which she received her J.D. in 1997. She was admitted to the California State Bar in 1997, but returned to New Jersey in 1998. After passing the New Jersey Bar, she served a year as a clerk for a trial judge, and then a year as a prosecutor before moving to Virginia in 2000. In that year, she joined Snook & Haughey, P.C. She practiced with Snook & Haughey until 2005, when she and her husband moved to Rochester, New York, where she practiced criminal law and employment law. In 2009 she and her husband (and daughter) returned to Charlottesville, and Bonnie returned to Snook & Haughey. She concentrates her practice in the areas of criminal law, juvenile law and domestic relations law, and she frequently serves as guardian ad litem for children. She practices in courts throughout Central Virginia.
